The first-generation Mercedes-AMG GT C190 is defined by its long hood, compact cabin and wide rear body—proportions shaped around its front-mid-engine layout.
For this build, FACEWHEELS FW1003 custom forged wheels were specified in Brushed Black, with a staggered 19 × 9J front and 19 × 11J rear fitment.
The objective was to reinforce the car’s rear-driven stance while introducing a wheel design that feels precise and purposeful beneath the sculpted body. The completed setup gives the AMG GT a stronger visual foundation without distracting from its unmistakable silhouette.
SELENITE GREY METALLIC × BRUSHED BLACK
The relationship between the Selenite Grey Metallic exterior and the Brushed Black wheels establishes the visual direction of the complete build.
The metallic paint produces clean reflections across the long hood, curved roof and muscular rear quarters. Its fine metallic character shifts from bright silver-grey under direct light to a deeper graphite tone in shadow.
Beneath it, the darker wheel finish creates a defined lower edge. The brushed texture reveals the spoke faces and directional grain, while the dark recessed areas connect the wheels with the car’s black exterior details.
FACEWHEELS FW1003 — TECHNICAL DETAIL FOR AN AMG SILHOUETTE
The FACEWHEELS FW1003 uses a precise multi-spoke design that radiates outward from a compact center toward the rim.
Its open structure preserves depth around the brake hardware and gives the wheel a lighter visual character than a solid or heavily layered design. The spoke transitions remain clear from both side and three-quarter views, creating detail without unnecessary visual weight.
On the AMG GT, that structure complements the tension already present in the body and adds a technical element beneath the smooth exterior surfaces.
19 × 9J FRONT / 19 × 11J REAR — REAR-DRIVEN PROPORTION
The staggered 19 × 9J front and 19 × 11J rear configuration responds directly to the architecture of the AMG GT.
The front fitment supports a precise visual stance beneath the long hood, while the wider rear wheel reinforces the mass around the driven axle. Keeping a 19-inch diameter at both ends preserves a consistent side profile and allows the difference in width to define the car’s rear bias.
The tires remain visible as part of the complete package, giving the setup a purposeful performance character instead of an oversized appearance.
BRUSHED BLACK REVEALS THE FORM
Brushed Black combines a dark overall tone with a directional surface that changes naturally as light moves across the wheel.
Raised sections become more visible under direct light, while recessed areas remain deep and controlled. This variation makes the spoke geometry easier to read and prevents the finish from becoming visually flat.
Against Selenite Grey Metallic, Brushed Black creates a controlled tonal contrast. It anchors the lower body and complements the dark trim without overwhelming the vehicle’s shape.
