The BMW M6 Gran Coupé F06 combines a long four-door profile with the wide body, low roofline and performance-focused details of a BMW M car.
For this build, FACEWHEELS FW1039 custom forged wheels were specified in Brushed Grey, with a staggered 20 × 9.5J front and 20 × 10.5J rear fitment.
The objective was to strengthen the M6's stance while preserving the elegance that separates the Gran Coupé from a conventional performance sedan. The wheel design adds precision below the body and creates a clearer relationship between the arches, brakes and road.
BMW INDIVIDUAL FROZEN BRONZE METALLIC × BRUSHED GREY
The relationship between the BMW Individual Frozen Bronze Metallic bodywork and the Brushed Grey wheels establishes the visual direction of the complete build.
Frozen Bronze Metallic has a muted, satin-like character that shifts between warm bronze, silver and grey as the light changes. Brushed Grey develops that tonal range below the body, creating a combination that feels cohesive without allowing the wheels to disappear.
Direct light reveals the warmer character of the exterior and the directional texture of the spokes. In shade, both finishes deepen toward graphite, giving the car a more restrained and muscular presence.
FACEWHEELS FW1039 — SCULPTED FOR DEFINITION
The FACEWHEELS FW1039 uses a sharp split-spoke pattern that radiates from a compact center and opens toward the outer rim.
This geometry gives the wheel a clear identity at a distance and greater surface detail when viewed up close. The open structure preserves depth around the brake hardware, while the transitions between each spoke and the rim create a strong technical character.
On the M6 Gran Coupé, the design introduces definition beneath the broad body surfaces and complements the precision of the car's M-specific exterior details.
20 × 9.5J FRONT / 20 × 10.5J REAR — PROPORTION WITH PURPOSE
The staggered 20 × 9.5J front and 20 × 10.5J rear configuration supports the rear-driven proportions of the M6 Gran Coupé.
The front fitment gives the car a precise and planted nose, while the wider rear wheel reinforces the visual weight around the driven axle. Keeping a 20-inch diameter at both ends creates consistency along the long side profile.
The tires remain an active part of the composition, allowing the setup to look purposeful rather than oversized. From every angle, the completed stance appears balanced and deliberate.
BRUSHED GREY REVEALS THE FORM
Brushed Grey changes naturally as light moves across the FW1039.
The directional surface emphasizes the edges and raised sections of the spokes. Recessed areas remain darker, helping the split-spoke pattern retain its depth even when the wheel is viewed in shade.
Against Frozen Bronze Metallic, the finish creates a controlled tonal progression from body to wheel. It complements the exterior without copying it, allowing both surfaces to retain their own character.
