DESIGNED AROUND THE CAR: BMW 735Li G70 × FACEWHEELS FW1044 21"
The BMW 735Li G70 combines a long-wheelbase luxury-sedan profile with a formal roofline, clean body surfaces and a commanding modern front treatment.
For this build, FACEWHEELS FW1044 custom forged wheels were specified in Brushed Silver, with a 21 × 9J front / 21 × 10.5J rear fitment.
The objective was to introduce a more distinctive technical element without disrupting the measured character of the original design. The completed package gives the car clearer wheel-to-body proportion, a more deliberate stance and a stronger visual identity from every angle.
CARBON BLACK METALLIC × BRUSHED SILVER
The relationship between the Carbon Black Metallic bodywork and the Brushed Silver wheels establishes the visual direction of the complete build.
Carbon Black Metallic appears nearly black in shade, then reveals a deep blue character as light moves across the long doors, shoulders and rear quarter panels. Brushed Silver provides a clean counterpoint, brightening the lower body and connecting naturally with the 7 Series' extensive bright exterior detailing.
Changes in daylight reveal different parts of the combination. Raised wheel surfaces catch brighter highlights, recessed openings remain darker and the body color shifts between black and blue without losing its formal presence.
FACEWHEELS FW1044 — SCULPTED FOR DEFINITION
The FACEWHEELS FW1044 is built around five broad directional forms, each shaped with deep transitions and intricate lattice-like openings.
The large outer surfaces give the wheel a strong identity at a distance, while the open internal geometry introduces more detail at close range. This contrast between solid sculpted sections and fine cut-through elements creates depth without making the design feel visually heavy.
Rather than acting as a separate decorative element, the FW1044 adds technical structure beneath the body and gives the lower half of the BMW a more individual character.
21 × 9J FRONT / 21 × 10.5J REAR — PROPORTION WITH PURPOSE
The staggered 21 × 9J front and 21 × 10.5J rear configuration gives the G70 a measured rear bias while preserving the balance expected of a long-wheelbase luxury sedan.
Diameter and width work together here. The wheels fill the large arches with the correct visual scale, while the tire remains an active part of the composition instead of disappearing beneath an oversized rim.
The result is a fitment that looks composed in profile, substantial from the rear three-quarter view and properly integrated from the front.
BRUSHED SILVER REVEALS THE FORM
Brushed Silver makes the FW1044's layered construction easier to read.
Direct light emphasizes the broad directional surfaces and sharply defined edges. In shade, the openings become deeper and the complete wheel takes on a more unified metallic tone. This natural variation allows the design to retain its dimensional character without relying on excessive contrast.
In motion, the five major forms create a strong rotating graphic, while the intricate internal openings preserve the custom detail visible in the static photographs.
BUILT AROUND THE BMW 735Li G70
A successful wheel package is defined by the complete relationship between diameter, width, spoke geometry, brake clearance and the position of the wheel within the bodywork.
For this BMW 735Li G70, the FACEWHEELS FW1044 setup was selected to support the vehicle's existing proportions rather than replace them with a generic visual formula.
The completed stance feels integrated because the wheel design, finish and sizing all respond to the same body. The brushed surfaces connect with the exterior brightwork, while the sculpted geometry adds definition beneath the car's long, clean profile.
