DESIGNED AROUND THE CAR: AUDI A6 AVANT C8 × FACEWHEELS FW160 19"
The Audi A6 Avant C8 combines a long, practical estate profile with the precise surfacing and controlled proportions expected from Audi's executive range.
For this build, FACEWHEELS FW160 custom forged wheels were specified in Satin Gunmetal, with a square 19 × 9J fitment.
The objective was to give the car a clearer and more planted stance without disturbing its restrained character. The wheel package adds definition beneath the body, strengthens the wheel-to-arch relationship and preserves the visual balance of the Avant profile.
FLORET SILVER METALLIC × SATIN GUNMETAL
The relationship between the Floret Silver Metallic bodywork and the Satin Gunmetal wheels establishes the visual direction of the complete build.
The silver exterior reflects light across the A6's sharp shoulder line and broad side surfaces. Beneath it, Satin Gunmetal creates a darker technical base that separates the wheel design from the body without producing an excessive contrast.
In direct light, the paint becomes brighter and the spoke edges reveal softer metallic highlights. In shade, both finishes deepen, giving the Avant a more cohesive and understated presence.
FACEWHEELS FW160 — STRUCTURE BENEATH A CLEAN BODY
The FACEWHEELS FW160 uses an open multi-spoke layout that moves outward from a compact center toward the rim.
Its geometry introduces detail beneath the A6's broad, clean body surfaces while preserving visual space around the brakes. The spokes remain easy to read in motion and from a distance, and their outward movement supports the long horizontal character of the vehicle.
Rather than competing with the bodywork, the wheel provides a structured foundation for it. The result feels technical, modern and appropriate to the A6 Avant.
19 × 9J — BALANCE AT ALL FOUR CORNERS
The square 19 × 9J configuration maintains consistent proportions across both axles and suits the long, balanced architecture of the A6 Avant.
The 19-inch diameter gives the FW160 enough presence to fill the arches and display its spoke pattern clearly. The 9J width adds a more confident stance while allowing the tire to remain part of the overall design.
From the side, the wheel diameter sits naturally beneath the body. From front and rear three-quarter views, the added width gives the car a more planted expression without making the fitment appear forced.
SATIN GUNMETAL REVEALS THE FORM
Satin Gunmetal changes gradually as light moves across the FW160.
Raised surfaces become brighter, recessed areas remain darker and the full depth of the spoke design becomes visible without the glare of a polished finish. This controlled response gives the wheel a strong technical character.
Against Floret Silver Metallic, the darker finish also creates a clear division between the exterior and the road. It adds definition while allowing the body color, bright trim and S line details to retain their own identities.
