DESIGNED AROUND THE CAR: BMW X6 G06 × FACEWHEELS FW290-SL 22"
The third-generation BMW X6 G06 combines the visual mass of a luxury SUV with a sharply tapered coupe roofline, sculpted body surfaces and a broad rear stance.
For this build, FACEWHEELS FW290-SL multi-piece custom forged wheels were specified with Gloss Champagne Gold centers and Polished rims, using a 22 × 10J front / 22 × 11J rear fitment.
The objective was not to overwhelm the original design. It was to give the vehicle a clearer stance, stronger wheel-to-body proportion and a finish that feels intentional from every viewing angle.
AMETRIN METALLIC × GLOSS CHAMPAGNE GOLD
The relationship between the Ametrin Metallic bodywork and the Gloss Champagne Gold centers establishes the visual direction of the complete build.
Ametrin Metallic moves between deep violet, burgundy and near-black as the surrounding light changes. Gloss Champagne Gold adds a warmer metallic counterpoint, while the Polished rim and orange brake calipers introduce brighter layers of contrast.
Under direct lighting, the purple character of the body becomes more visible and the gold center appears brighter. In shadow, both surfaces become deeper and more restrained, allowing the Polished rim to maintain a precise reflective outline.
FACEWHEELS FW290-SL — SCULPTED FOR DEFINITION
The FACEWHEELS FW290-SL uses a layered multi-piece split-spoke center with angular openings, extended spoke tips, exposed hardware and a Polished outer rim.
That geometry gives the wheel a clear identity at a distance and more detail at close range. The design remains open enough to preserve depth around the brakes, while its transitions create a strong connection between the center and the outer rim.
Rather than acting as a separate decorative element, the wheel introduces structure beneath the body and gives the lower half of the vehicle a more deliberate technical character.
22 × 10J FRONT / 22 × 11J REAR — PROPORTION WITH PURPOSE
The 22 × 10J front and 22 × 11J rear stagger gives the G06 X6 greater wheel presence and reinforces the width of the rear body.
Diameter and width work together here. The wheel fills the arch with the correct visual scale, while the tire remains an active part of the composition instead of disappearing beneath an oversized rim.
The result is a fitment that looks considered from the side, front three-quarter and rear three-quarter views.
GLOSS CHAMPAGNE GOLD AND POLISHED SURFACES
Gloss Champagne Gold changes naturally as light moves across the center, while the Polished rim responds with a sharper reflection.
Direct light emphasizes the raised edges, layered openings and extended spoke tips. In shade, the center becomes more unified while the polished outer surface continues to define the wheel's diameter. This variation allows the wheel to retain its dimensional character without relying on excessive decoration.
The finish also makes the design easier to read in motion, where the spoke pattern and the outer edge form a clear graphic relationship with the body above them.
BUILT AROUND THE BMW X6 G06
A successful wheel package is defined by the complete relationship between diameter, width, spoke shape, brake clearance and the position of the wheel within the bodywork.
For this BMW X6 G06, the FACEWHEELS FW290-SL setup was selected to support the vehicle's existing proportions rather than replace them with a generic visual formula.
The completed stance feels integrated because the wheel design, finish and sizing all respond to the same body. Nothing appears isolated from the vehicle around it.
